Dans cet article, notre objectif est d’approfondir un concept émergent dans le domaine de l’Intelligence Artificielle (IA) en santé, celui d’interopérabilité sociale. Autrement dit, nous souhaitons interroger la relation que des professionnels de la santé et des patients entretiennent avec des données générées par des algorithmes d’apprentissage. Pour ce faire, nous prendrons appui sur deux projets de recherche, menés en partenariat avec des organisations de santé, au cours desquels nous avons mis en œuvre une approche de design participatif. Cette approche permet d’impliquer les futurs utilisateurs de ces technologies dès le début du processus de conception et contribue à révéler des usages anticipés, des attentes et progressivement à comprendre la relation et la signification que les soignants et les patients attribuent aux données générées par des algorithmes d’apprentissage. À travers ces deux cas, nous montrerons comment il est possible de penser l’interopérabilité sociale via le design de technologies d’apprentissage machine ancré dans des pratiques.
