Transformer l’école privée libanaise en école inclusive : quel rôle du·de la directeur·rice ?

Abstract
Dès les années 1990, plusieurs écoles privées libanaises accueillent des enfants ayant des besoins éducatifs particuliers. Le·la directeur·rice de l’école est reconnu·e dans les écrits scientifiques comme agent actif dans l’implantation de l’inclusion scolaire, son influence étant déterminante pour la mise en place et la pérennisation des pratiques inclusives. En 2014, nous avons achevé une recherche 1 visant à décrire le rôle de la direction de l’école privée libanaise dans l’implantation de l’inclusion scolaire et à repérer les facteurs internes et externes susceptibles d’orienter ses choix et son action. En mettant en place une étude de type exploratoire selon une approche qualitative, nous avons réalisé une étude multicas de cinq écoles privées libanaises. Les résultats montrent que le rôle des directeur·rice·s s’inscrit dans une perspective de changements ponctuels et immédiats se situant essentiellement sur le plan de la structure. Ceux visant des changements et des transformations plus profonds sont peu ou pas mis en place.
