Abstract
O comércio informal das plantas medicinais em feiras livre a cada dia que passa vem aumentando, devido à dificuldade de acesso da população à assistência médica e a escassez de recursos dos órgãos públicos de saúde. Muitos comerciantes não provêm de um estudo suficiente para a comercialização ficando desconsideradas as contraindicações, interações com outros medicamentos e reação adversa. Objetivou-se com essa pesquisa o estudo etnobotânico das plantas medicinais comercializadas na principal feira livre de um município do interior da Bahia. A metodologia foi através de uma abordagem exploratória, realizada por uma pesquisa de campo, onde através da observação foi possível catalogar no programa Microsoft office excel 2016, 26 famílias dentre elas foram encontradas 46 espécies de plantas medicinais, em distintas formas de utilização: folha secas, raízes, cascas e sementes.
