Subsurface Paleozoic structure and isopach maps and selected seismic lines in southern Northwest Territories and northern Alberta: implications for mineral and petroleum potential
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Subsurface mapping indicates that the region northwest of the Great Slave Shear Zone contains an array of previously identified northeast-trending faults and fault zones that cross abrupt inflections of contours on structure and isopach maps. The Tathlina Fault, faults within the Rabbit Lake Fault Zone, and the Hay River Fault are all large northeast-trending faults that lie northwest of the shear zone. Southeast of the shear zone, contours on subsurface structure maps display fewer pronounced inflections and inferred faults are fewer in number except in the Peace River Arch area. Seismic lines in the southern Northwest Territories show smaller contractional reverse faults of Late Devonian age that have offset the Slave Point in the subsurface of the western part of the Cameron Hills. Farther east, on seismic lines near Hay River, larger high angle thrust faults occur entirely within Precambrian strata. In both of these areas, the Slave Point and sub-Slave Point Paleozoic strata display a disturbed stratigraphy of discontinuous internal seismic reflectors. Stratigraphic disturbances such as these may indicate the presence of Pine Point types of mineralized lead-zinc deposits, or possibly zones of natural gas.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
