Abstract
En la región de los Valles Centrales del estado de Oaxaca se encuentra la comunidad de San Pablo Güilá. En este lugar existe un cuento popular conocido como Juan Flojo, del cual hay distintas versiones. En este artículo se presenta la versión de Federico Luis Gómez, nativo hablante de este zapoteco. El cuento relata la historia de Juan, su mamá, su perro y un zopilote encarando múltiples aventuras, con un tinte de moraleja al final. En la introducción, se encuentra información general del texto, la ortografía utilizada y generalidades del análisis. Posteriormente se muestra un análisis lingüístico de la narración.
