Abstract
La congrégation des Assomptionnistes possède encore aujourd’hui une sculpture représentant une Vierge et l’Enfant, qui fait l’objet de cette communication. Pas inconnue des historiens de l’art, elle a jusqu’ici été assez peu étudiée pour elle-même. Cette œuvre suscite de nombreuses interrogations et ouvre des pistes de réflexion, tant sur la sculpture médiévale parisienne du XIIIe siècle que sur la réception de cette période aux XIXe et XXe siècles.
