A Well-Conditioned Differential Surface Admittance Formulation for Modeling Penetrable Media

Abstract
A single-source surface integral equation formulation for modeling penetrable media is proposed. The differential surface admittance operator is enhanced with Buffa-Christiansen basis functions to obtain a well-conditioned system of equations, which can be solved iteratively with fast convergence. Superior convergence of the proposed formulation is demonstrated for a large on-chip interconnect network.
