Abstract
La Comtesse de Rudolstadt se clôt sur l’initiation de Consuelo et son mariage extatique avec Albert. Fausse clôture car un épilogue rouvre le récit plus qu’il n’y met fin pour accompagner, très sporadiquement, le couple pendant environ vingt-cinq ans. Le narrateur se désengage du récit pour s’en remettre à la rumeur publique puis, au contraire, au récit par lettre très précis de Philon.
