Cette étude se concentrera sur la question du corps dans les films et les bandes dessinées d'Alejandro Jodorowsky et tentera de comprendre comment un imaginaire du corps propre à l'auteur se tisse entre les deux médiums.Le corps, qu'il soit martyrisé, handicapé ou puissant et sexuel, est toujours un élément fondateur des récits de l'auteur. La matérialité du corps en tant qu'elle définit le rapport au monde des protagonistes est inhérente au discours de l'artiste. La question du corps sera particulièrement envisagée à travers le lien qu'elle élabore avec le sacré mais aussi avec d'autres thématiques chères à Jodorowsky telles que la marginalité ou le pouvoir. Il s’agira de définir comment ces motifs se lisent, s’appréhendent à travers la mise en scène des corps des protagonistes.Le corps sera considéré en tant que figure et étudié comme vecteur narratif, pourvoyeur de formes indissociable du regard que porte l'auteur sur le monde.
