Abstract
Universit de Sherbrooke (DUS) 1. Bien que la dyade religion et spiritualit forme un volet important de la plupart des dfinitions populaires de la religion, la quasi-totalit des formes de la spiritualit soi-disant individuelle est, dans la pratique, troitement lie aux institutions de tous les types. Par ailleurs, virtuellement toutes les institutions religieuses officielles se disent conues pour procurer des expriences spirituelles individuelles thoriquement distinctives et pour les promouvoir ou les protger. Enfin, les concepts sont relis non seulement sur le plan de la dialectique, au sens troit, mais aussi dans la vie quotidienne des gens religieux, car elles s'engagent dans des activits qui font appel aux deux forces.
