パーキンソン病患者69名の認知機能と線条体ドパミントランスポーター(dopamine transporter; DAT)集積の関連を調べた.DATの集積形態別では,eagle wing群はegg shape群に比べ,運動症状が有意に軽度であった.認知機能は両群に有意差がなかった.DATの集積と認知機能は,specific binding ratio(SBR)と注意機能,前頭葉機能,日常記憶などが有意に相関した.重回帰分析では年齢とfrontal assessment batteryがSBRの有意かつ独立した交絡因子であった.DATの集積は,年齢の影響を受けるが,前頭葉機能と関連が強く,運動・認知機能の重症度を示す補助的な指標になり得る.
