Research methods using descriptive method with descriptive qualitative approach. The discussion is done by triangulation data from interviews, documentation, and observations. This research resulted in several things: a) Profile of the student organization of BEM HMD ADPEND and BE HIMA PG-PAUD note that programs of both organizations are run properly with the realization of 100%; b) The role of the Chairman of Department in shaping the character of leadership on student is in terms of planning, participation, communication, delegation, and evaluation; c) How to shape the character of student leadership is throught activities in the work programme for a period of management. That also maximized by the chairman of the Departement throught the student conduct will supervision of verbal, nonverbal, partisipasif, persuasive, an motivation; and d) The character of leadership which was formed through the activity of students are intelligent, spirited, strong and tough, responsibility, honest and true, dare to take risks, and innovative.
