Abstract
L'Etat quebecois mise beaucoup sur la solidarite et le sens de la responsabilite des familles et de la societe tout entiere pour contrer l'augmentation des besoins de services engendree par le vieillissement demographique. L'aidant familial est considere comme un partenaire pour dispenser des soins a domicile aux personnes âgees en perte d'autonomie. Cette realite souleve plusieurs questionnements en lien avec l'evaluation des besoins des aidants familiaux places dans cette situation. Nos travaux explorent la perspective de l'aidant familial sur sa disposition a prendre en charge un proche âge en perte d'autonomie dans un contexte de post- hospitalisation. Nos resultats montrent qu'il faut distinguer entre les notions d'engagement et d'implication et nous amenent a mieux comprendre comment la disposition a prendre soin de l'aidant familial influence sa conduite dans son engagement aupres du proche âge.
