Abstract
Abstract Metformin is an affordable and well-tolerated drug used in type 2 diabetes. Potential anticancer effects of metformin in gynecologic malignancies include inhibition of the PI3K-mTOR pathway, hormone receptor regulation, and reduction of fibrosis and inflammation.
