Abstract
Résumé Bien que le code de déontologie judiciaire énumère plus d'une quinzaine de devoirs différents, une étude exhaustive des décisions rendues par le Conseil de la magistrature du Québec révèle que trois devoirs ressortent plus systématiquement : l'indépendance, l'impartialité et l'intégrité du juge. C'est la règle des trois « I ». Quels que soient la juridiction déontologique, l'instance ou le pays de référence, ces trois devoirs constituent le coeur de ce qui fonde la référence déontologique en matière de pratique judiciaire 1 .
