Impacto do exercício físico sobre a autonomia de ação de idosas participantes de um programa de atividade física

Abstract
O estudo teve por objetivo analisar o impacto do exercício físico sobre o perfil de autonomia de ação de idosas participantes de um programa de atividades físicas regulares. Participaram do estudo 60 idosas (74,3 ± 6,7 anos) distribuídas em dois grupos: Grupo Controle, composto por idosas sedentárias, e Grupo Experimental, composto por frequentadoras de projeto de atividades físicas há pelo menos seis meses. A autonomia de ação foi aferida pelo Sistema Sênior de Avaliação da Autonomia de Ação (SysSen), composto por um questionário de atividades físicas para obtenção de um índice de autonomia exprimida (IAE) e um teste de caminhada de 800 m com transporte manual de cargas, para obtenção de um índice de autonomia potencial (IAP). Uma ANOVA de dupla entrada foi aplicada para comparar IAP, IAE, ISAC e Idade cronológica entre GC e GE (p < 0,05). Os resultados revelaram que GE exibiu níveis maiores de aptidão física e funcional. Apesar de cronologicamente mais velhas, as idosas ativas exibiram autonomia de ação equivalente às idosas inativas.Palavras-chave: envelhecimento, autonomia, qualidade de vida, aptidão física, saúde.
