Le transfert de Petites et Moyennes Entreprises (PME) est un enjeu économique et social important au Québec. Si la reprise en mode coopératif commence à être connue et documentée, celle en mode associatif l’est beaucoup moins. Pourtant, au travers de cette recherche, plusieurs cas de reprise sous forme d’Organisme à But Non Lucratif (OBNL) ont pu être repérés. Malgré les défis rencontrés par les repreneurs, ces reprises ont permis non seulement la survie des PME rachetées, mais aussi d’envisager plus sereinement leur développement économique.
