Abstract
Dès ses débuts, en T967, le programme « Société nouvelle/Challenge for change » s’est engagé dans un processus continue de transformation sociale pour les Amérindiens du Canada. Les fiims produits sous l’égide de ce programme ont représenté et participé à une modification politique et culturelle des rapports entre les Premières Nations et le Canada. De plus, ils tracent l’évolution du cinéma direct à l’ONF et démontrent leur influence ainsi que celle de deux programmes de formation pour Amérindiens (1968-1970; 1971-1973). Cette influence a rejoint un large public au-delà des communautés amérindiennes.
