put acqurir sa colossale collection d'estampes, estime plus de 50 000 pices. L'exploration de ce fonds tentaculaire, lgu la Ville de Caen en 1872, se poursuit depuis lors et permet aux conservateurs du muse des Beaux-Arts, la faveur de regroupements significatifs, d'utiles coups de projecteur sur l'oeuvre de graveurs peu ou mal connus, en parallle des oprations matrielles de conservation que rclament certaines pices. Cette fois, c'est une srie d'estampes qu'apparente une commune origine bolognaise, mais entre lesquelles se dessinent aussi quelques filiations esthtiques, du XVI e la fin du XVII e sicle.
