Depuis ces dernières années, le nombre d’étudiants à situations particulières (TDAH, autisme, déficience auditive, etc.) est en constante augmentation dans les institutions d’enseignement québécois passant de 8 201 en 2013 à 16 304 en 2018 (Gagné & Tremblay, 2018, p. 23). L’Université TÉLUQ, qui offre des cours et des programmes à distance, accueille près de 20 000 étudiants par année. En plus des étudiants en situations particulières, plusieurs reviennent aux études après un long laps de temps afin, d’améliorer leur situation professionnelle, tout en travaillant à temps plein. L’Université TÉLUQ, par l’entremise de son Service aux étudiants (SAE), s’est donné pour mandat d’améliorer la rétention et le succès de ces étudiants. Pour y arriver, un comité sur les outils d'aide à la réussite étudiante a été mis sur pied. Des enquêtes ont permis d’identifier plusieurs facteurs de risques liés à l’abandon des étudiants (à paraître). Afin d’aider les étudiants avec des besoins et des défis différents dans les premiers cours, un système d’aide juste à temps est présentement mis sur pied. Dans le cadre de cette communication, nous présenterons les premières itérations ainsi que le design de ce nouveau système.
