Since its nationwide implementation in 1998, the United States Postal Service ("USPS") REDRESS Tm program has achieved impressive results.Ongoing assessment research of the program has provided valuable quantitative measures of participants' assessments of the mediation process.This research documents that parties who have participated in REDRESSTn mediations-both managers and employees-are highly satisfied with the program and believe it offers a constructive approach to addressing employment disputes in the workplace.These studies also indicate that REDRESSTN{ has been successful in achieving high participation rates in the program, in producing impressive case closure rates, and in reducing the overall number of Equal Employment Opportunity ("EEO") complaints initiated.
