Abstract
This article focuses on the scholarly literature of the last thirty (30) years on university governance in Canada. In the first section I identify the general approaches, or angles, from which scholars address that topic. A discussion of several features of that literature taken as a whole follows, in particular the evaluation that is made by scholars of the state of university governance in Canada. In the last sections I assess the contribution of the above-mentioned scholars to the study of university governance in Canada and propose a new, complementary direction for future studies on that topic.
