Abstract

During the tenure of the current Editorial Executive of JCF (six years) the publishing world has undergone, and continues to undergo, major disruption. Here we highlight changes that will impact on the publishing of cystic fibrosis (CF) basic and clinical science for the foreseeable future, with a focus on the open access (OA) debate and hope this will stimulate discussion within the CF community across a range of topics that challenge current publication and editorial processes.
