Abstract
Cet article s’intéresse aux usages de la couleur électronique dans Il mistero di Oberwald de Michelangelo Antonioni (1980). Le film fait partie des premières œuvres cinématographiques à employer des outils électroniques et à expérimenter grâce à eux de nouvelles méthodes de réalisation. Parmi elles figurent également 200 Motels, Parade, Steppenwolf, etc. À l’heure où le cinéma est désormais numérique, l’étude d’un tel corpus permet de réinterroger le passage d’une technologie à l’autre, de l’argentique au numérique. En adoptant une perspective archéologique inspirée par Foucault, cet article propose d’examiner plusieurs énoncés d’abord associés à la vidéo analogique, puis à la vidéo numérique, afin d’établir une comparaison et de relever à la fois des écarts et des correspondances. Une telle méthode, avant tout préoccupée par la circulation des idées, offre selon nous la possibilité d’éviter le piège téléologique et de réévaluer la place historique du « cinéma électronique ».
