O presente artigo aborda o estudo da extração dos contaminantes químicos da classe dos cresóis, presente no lodo de esgoto, a fim de viabilizar seu uso no meio agrícola, evitando a contaminação do solo e dos mananciais hídricos. A agricultura é um setor vital, intrínseco ao abastecimento alimentício, no entanto, é também um potencial poluidor. Dessa forma, alternativas sustentáveis têm sido desenvolvidas para a destinação e uso apropriado do lodo de esgoto no setor. Composto por diversos contaminantes químicos, como os cresóis, o lodo, quando disposto ao solo, pode apresentar riscos diretos à água, ocasionado pela lixiviação de compostos e escoamento superficial, fazendo-se necessário o monitoramento contínuo, a fim de assegurar a qualidade e conservação dos recursos hídricos. Este trabalho tem como objetivo realizar a extração dos cresóis em amostras reais de solo, através de um procedimento rápido, fácil, barato, efetivo, robusto e seguro (QuEChERS) por meio da cromatografia gasosa acoplada ao espectrômetro de massas, CG-EM. Com base no estudo, a taxa de extração dos compostos foi não satisfatória. Todavia, os agentes derivatizantes proporcionaram estabilidade às reações. De modo geral, o estudo se mostra essencial para a continuidade de pesquisas que viabilizem a aplicabilidade do lodo de esgoto, sem que este culmine na vulnerabilidade e contaminação da água, afetando sua qualidade e uso.
