Abstract
Le Canada est confronté à une épidémie nationale de surdoses d’opioïdes, le nombre de décès associé étant en constante augmentation. Les expériences relatives aux opioïdes des collectivités de Kingston, du comté de Frontenac et du comté de Lennox et Addington, qui forment le pôle régional du Sud‑Est de l’Ontario et sont le siège de l’Université Queen’s, sont susceptibles d’offrir des perspectives intéressantes. Cet article présente les mesures récentes de lutte contre la crise des opioïdes à l’échelle locale, la justification de leur adoption ainsi que le contexte dans lequel elles sont appliquées.
