Abstract
The English-language "Encyclopedia of Ukraine" was builded in 5 large-format volumes (a total of 4,320 pages) during 1984-1993. It was published by the University of Toronto publishing house for the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies, the Shevchenko Scientific Society in Western Europe, and the Canadian Foundation for Ukrainian Studies. The article is devoted to the overview of this encyclopedia.
