Abstract
Au cours des dernières décennies, les recherches sur les radicalismes ont mis en évidence une multitude de facteurs de risques et de protection associés à ce problème humain et social. Selon les écrits scientifiques, la spiritualité est l’un de ces facteurs de protection. Cependant, cette dimension est souvent ignorée dans l’analyse scientifique ou médiatique du phénomène de radicalisation. Ce texte a pour but de montrer qu’une plus grande intégration de la spiritualité dans le système scolaire public québécois pourrait favoriser le développement global de l’enfant et aider à prévenir la radicalisation. Nous pensons que le programme d’Éthique et de culture religieuse serait propice à l’intégration de la spiritualité en milieu scolaire.
