Abstract
Le concept de pulsion de mort a été introduit par Freud au début du xx e siècle, suite aux dégâts humains de la Première Guerre mondiale et en pleine montée de la haine et des forces pulsionnelles destructrices qui se sont déchainées pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Ce concept aide à penser les nouvelles problématiques que nous rencontrons aujourd’hui avec l’éclosion violente d’une nouvelle idéologie extrémiste islamiste, le wahhabisme littéraliste. Cette idéologie s’appuie sur un discours religieux réinterprété et fanatisé, prônant l’ultraviolence et la terreur avec un discours propagandiste qui oeuvre à une rupture à l’encontre de la Démocratie et menace la civilisation occidentale. Des points communs entre l’idéologie maoïste et l’idéologie nazie sont aussi recherchés pour tenter de penser cette nouvelle idéologie destructrice.
