Abstract
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran pendidikan karakter yang terdapat di kampung adat, yaitu sebuah kampung yang sampai saat ini masih memegang teguh ajaran para leluhurnya, penelitian ini dilakukan di kampung Salapan di Desa Gempol Kec. Banyusari Kabupaten Karawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dimana pengumpulan datanya menggunakan metode observasi, interview dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini memunculkan karakter pribadi yang teguh memegang adat dan ajaran nenek moyang mereka yang telah berlangsung bertahun-tahun lamanya. Hasilnya adalah terdapat enam karakter, yaitu religius, jujur, mandiri, demokratis, peduli lingkungan dan kreatif.
