Abstract
Ce texte présente le projet et le cheminement artistique du Quatuor Molinari tel qu’animé par sa fondatrice, la violoniste Olga Ranzenhofer, qui est aussi la directrice artistique de l’ensemble. L’auteure raconte ses rencontres marquantes avec deux grands artistes canadiens, Guido Molinari et R. Murray Schafer, qui ont marqué le parcours du quatuor et inspiré ses musiciens à explorer l’art d’aujourd’hui et à créer des rapprochements avec le public. Elle y décrit et explique les événements Le Quatuor selon… ainsi que les Dialogues, qui ont permis aux musiciens et au public l’exploration du répertoire des xxe et xxie siècles pour quatuor à cordes par la présentation de cycles complets de quatuors d’importants compositeurs d’aujourd’hui. C’est avec passion qu’Olga Ranzenhofer décrit le long et exaltant cheminement du travail de musicien de quatuor, du choix du répertoire au concert, en passant par les nombreuses heures de travail et l’enregistrement d’un cd.
