Abstract
This paper aims to reveal the strategies of expansion, incorporation and appropriation of territories by capital. The object of study is the Sibama Community, Municipality of Tibau do Sul, Rio Grande do Norte. Community was made up of fugitives from slavery, isolated in former times, that even raised fear as neighbors. Nowadays, with the presence of tourist activity and social issues not met is occurring to land valuation and a process of socio-spatial segregation, while. For the study methodological procedures adopted were the analysis of the bibliography that addresses this theme and interviews to corroborate with the debate.
