Abstract
Los resultados del presente trabajo de Tesis, muestran que en el corazón atontado se desencadena el estrés de RE, con estimulación de las 3 vías de la UPR y activación de efectores que participan de respuestas tanto adaptativas como pro-apoptóticas. La ausencia de muerte celular en el corazón atontado indicaría un predominio de las vías adaptativas. Pero es la pérdida de Ca+2 por el translocón producida durante el estrés de RE, lo que parece ser responsable del detrimento de la recuperación contráctil post-isquémica. Este trabajo de Tesis sugiere que la prevención del estrés de RE por la utilización de chaperonas químicas o por inhibición del translocón, puede ser una herramienta terapéutica para disminuir el deterioro de la función contráctil en situaciones clínicas como la reperfusión luego de terapias de revascularización o luego de la trombolisis subsecuente a un infarto agudo de miocardio
