O estudo objetiva problematizar e refletir os conceitos de cidadania e formação emancipatória do trabalhador com base na obra Educação e Cidadania: Quem Educa o Cidadão? (ARROYO et al.) e estudiosos que criticam as reformas curriculares presentes nas políticas educacionais de tônica neoliberal. Baseia-se na experiência de Jacotot (RANCIÈRE) e em estudos que correlacionam a Metodologia de Projetos e a formação emancipatória, no campo do Proeja, como possibilidade de romper com a domesticação imposta por políticas neoliberais. Trata-se de pesquisa bibliográfica e correlacional. Os resultados sugerem que professores se apropriem dos conceitos em pauta e adotem estratégias pedagógicas apropriadas como contribuição à formação emancipatória dos trabalhadores das classes populares.
