Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Cyclic direct simple shear (CDSS) apparatus is a useful tool to replicate seismically induced cyclic shearing and liquefaction of sand in a small-scale laboratory environment. In this study, CDSS tests are performed by loading Fraser River sand specimens both mono-directionally and bi-directionally to determine the cyclic resistance ratio (CRR) of Fraser River sand for each loading condition. Additionally, after each specimen is sheared sufficiently to induce liquefaction, the specimens are re-consolidated and sheared again to produce a second liquefaction event on the same specimen and a unique set of CRR values. Comparisons relating the effect of both mono-directional and bi-directional shear loading as well as first and succeeding liquefaction events on CRR are established and presented for Fraser River sand. These comparisons between differing loading conditions are related to both previous studies and common practices for seismic design.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
