Il y avait l' poque quelque chose d'utopique, mais aussi de foncirement gnreux chez Comenius qui appelait de ses voeux, au XVII e sicle, la cration d'un trait de l'art d' enseigner parfaitement tout tous : Nous avons l'audace, nous, de promettre une Grande Didactique, je veux dire un trait de l'art complet d' enseigner tout tous. Et de l' enseigner de telle sorte que le rsultat soit infaillible. Et de l' enseigner vite, c' est--dire sans aucun dgot et sans aucune peine pour les lves et pour les matres, mais plutt avec un extrme plaisir pour les uns et pour les autres. Et de l' enseigner solidement, et non superficiellement et en paroles, mais en promouvant les lves la vraie culture scientifique, littraire et artistique, aux bonnes moeurs, la pit. (p. 33)
