Abstract
Les enjeux écologiques globaux ont-ils un impact sur le mode de vie urbain et sur l’action publique urbaine? La recherche montre que le climat est devenu un enjeu urbain d’importance, mais qu’en est-il de la biodiversité ? L’article se penchera, en premier lieu, sur l a perspective des assemblages urbains, qui se fraie actuellement un chemin dans l’univers de la théorie urbaine. Cette approche s’est attirée de nombreuses critiques, mais elle a le mérite de se pencher sur des pratiques urbaines émergentes. Parmi ces pratiques, se trouve l’action en faveur du climat et de la biodiversité. L’article analyse, en second lieu, les plans d’action de six grandes villes canadiennes en matière de biodiversité. La conclusion se demande si la prise en compte des enjeux écologiques globaux dans l’aménagement urbain conduit à une confi guration nouvelle des grandes villes.
