Abstract
Le fleuve Saint-Laurent, les rivières et les lacs ont contribué au développement du territoire québécois. En hiver, ils devenaient des traverses naturelles et, plus tard dans l’histoire, des ponts de glace bien organisés. Ceux-ci ont eu un rôle économique et social. De rares ponts de glace sont encore construits aujourd’hui. Des hommes qui réalisent ces routes éphémères ont partagé leurs savoirs et savoir-faire au Musée de la mémoire vivante en 2016-2017. Ils ont adapté à l’évolution de la société les techniques de leurs prédécesseurs. Leur nouveau défi pour sauvegarder cette pratique est sans contredit le réchauffement climatique.
