Étudiants en situation de handicap en contexte de stage à l’université : étude exploratoire des mesures d’accompagnement et d’accommodement envisagées

Abstract
Les établissements universitaires québécois font face à une croissance de plus de 900 % des étudiants en situation de handicap (ESH). Cette situation impacte à la fois sur les services universitaires et les formateurs responsables des stages. Depuis les dix dernières années, des recherches contribuent à combler le manque de connaissances scientifiques à l’égard des mesures de soutien reliées aux cours. Mais très peu d’études, tous pays confondus, portent spécifiquement sur les accommodements en contexte de stage. Cet article rend compte d’une recherche exploratoire conduite en partenariat avec des formateurs universitaires et de terrain, et des coordonnateurs de stage. Trois programmes professionnels ont été étudiés afin de mettre en exergue les défis et les enjeux rencontrés par ces derniers dans l’accompagnement des ESH. La recherche s’oriente désormais vers l’expérimentation de ces mesures pour en évaluer l’impact et éclairer les ajustements requis.
