Abstract
Partout dans le monde, l’intérêt pour la mise en valeur du patrimoine en tant qu’instrument de promotion du développement touristique durable est bien établi. Beaucoup de chercheurs ont étudié les liens inextricables entre le patrimoine et le tourisme. Mais peu de recherches s’intéressent aux rôles clés des membres des communautés dans les pratiques de sauvegarde de leur patrimoine dans le but de revitaliser leurs collectivités. Cette étude a ceci d’original qu’elle porte sur la participation communautaire. Elle examine dans quelle mesure cette forme de participation peut être mobilisée dans le cadre du développement touristique communautaire durable. Elle analyse les enjeux du trinôme « participation communautaire, patrimoine et tourisme » dans le contexte haïtien : le parc de Martissant, véritable espace éducatif, culturel, patrimonial et touristique.
