Abstract
炎症性腸疾患（IBD）は再燃寛解を繰り返す慢性炎症性腸疾患で，原因不明であるが，遺伝的素因・環境因子・腸管免疫が複合的に関与して発症することが想定されている。なかでもその疾患の病態の中心と考えられてきた腸管免疫をターゲットにした免疫統御療法がIBD治療の中核となっている。近年，次世代シークエンサーを用いた解析により，腸内細菌叢が，IBDの複合的要因のいずれとも関連があることが明らかになった。新たな治療ターゲットである腸内細菌叢に着目してさまざまな研究が行われており，いまだIBDの治療法としての確立には至っていないが，今後の検討次第では，特に既存治療抵抗例や不耐例のIBD患者にとって光明となりうるであろう。
