Abstract
En plaçant les cultures orales au coeur d’une réflexion historique ouverte à l’interdisciplinarité, l’étude des dynamiques d’échange et des significations sociales du chant dans l’espace atlantique colonial français invite à questionner les circulations et les appropriations différenciées des modèles culturels entre Europe et Amérique aux xvii e et xviii e siècles. Les pratiques chantées apparaissent comme un observatoire privilégié de la compréhension des constructions identitaires dans des sociétés hétérogènes et en constante transformation. Les phénomènes de transmissions et de renouvellements sur le temps long amènent à s’interroger sur les mécanismes de persistance d’un fonds culturel francophone durablement ancré dans les mémoires orales et largement partagé entre France et Amérique francophone.
