Abstract
This paper presents the design and implementation of compact dual polarized 4x4 MIMO sub-6GHz multi-beam base station antennas covering frequencies from 3.3 to 3.8 GHz. The 4x4 MIMO multi-beam antennas are realized through stacking two 2x2 MIMO multi-beam antenna arrays vertically. By using different numbers of columns and rows of the antenna array, the several 4x4 MIMO 3-beam and 6-beam antennas are designed and tested. Detailed array architecture and corresponding measured results are presented.
