L'article se propose d'étudier les différentes relations entre l'enfant et le chien dans la littérature de jeunesse. Il s'agit de montrer que le chien est le plus souvent anthropomorphisé et permet aux enfants des identifications ludiques d'une grande richesse. L'ensemble des albums et des romans construisent un imaginaire positif à partir du chien et cherchent à éduquer l'enfant qui souhaite en adopter un.
