Expérience scolaire et représentations de soi chez des élèves en situation de handicap

Abstract
Au regard des évolutions conceptuelles et législatives du paradigme inclusif dans le contexte scolaire français, cet article appréhende l’expérience scolaire et les représentations de soi d’élèves en situation de handicap. Un total de 111 élèves en situation de handicap, scolarisés en classe pour l’inclusion scolaire (N=44), en Unités localisées pour l’inclusion scolaire (N=49) et en Institut médico éducatif (N=18), ont renseigné plusieurs outils (dessins, questionnaires, entretiens). Les résultats obtenus par une classification hiérarchique descendante mettent en exergue un premier groupement constitué de trois profils hétérogènes quant à l’investissement des élèves envers les savoirs, la nature de leurs relations aux pairs et leurs représentations de soi. Le second groupement est composé de deux profils scolaires similaires au sein desquels les élèves sont engagés dans l’acquisition des savoirs et mettent en avant des représentations de soi valorisées et des relations aux autres harmonieuses.
