Supplementary Table 1.Numbers of shortfin makos (Isurus oxyrinchus) caught in the western North Atlantic Ocean between 1971 and 2018 and numbers of captured shortfin makos that were dissected or visually assessed to determine maturity stage.Collections and maturity examinations were performed by 3 programs: National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Apex Predators Program (APP), NMFS Pelagic Observer Program (POP), and Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO).
