À partir d’une perspective sociohistorique de la comparaison, cette contribution propose une analyse comparative de politiques éducatives entre le Québec et le Brésil contribuant aux finalités de transformation sociale et d’équité de l’éducation inclusive. Une description des principales politiques éducatives associées aux différentes vagues du paradigme inclusif dans les deux contextes à l’étude est présentée. Conçues comme des interprétations locales de ces injonctions internationales, ces politiques témoignent de diverses tensions en matière de prise en compte de la diversité au sein de la formation du personnel scolaire. Ces tensions transversales sont révélatrices d’attentes et de contraintes communes et permettent de contribuer à une meilleure compréhension de l’incidence des politiques inclusives sur la transformation du rôle de l’enseignant.
