Abstract
Les politiques mises en œuvre pour favoriser des pratiques plus vertueuses sur le plan environnemental peinent à se concrétiser. D’après nos analyses, ces difficultés tiennent à une focalisation sur les objets. Afin de rendre effectifs les changements promus, l’approche doit s’élargir et considérer les objets dans leurs rapports aux organisations sociales, politiques, économiques, techniques et spatiales en vigueur, c’est-à-dire ne pas séparer les objets de la morphologie sociale (Mauss, 2001). Selon la thèse défendue dans l’article, l’insertion des objets dans la morphologie sociale existante serait le problème de la mise en œuvre des politiques environnementales actuelles, elle pourrait aussi en constituer la solution. Pour cela, l’article s’appuie sur un cadre d’analyse envisageant les objets comme des instruments dans les activités sociales et propose une meilleure considération des conditions et des moyens de l’action dans l’élaboration des politiques environnementales.
