Abstract
Il s’agira dans cet article d’offrir un tableau synthétique de ce que le public français a pu connaitre des guerres des autres – entre la Seconde Guerre mondiale et la fin du service militaire obligatoire, en 2001. Au rebours du mouvement centrifuge étudiés par d’autres (influence de la fiction médiatique française sur telle ou telle autre culture nationale européenne), on se propose de considérer ce sous-ensemble des guerres des autres qui traverse un ensemble générique fortement caractérisé, la fiction de guerre française, et de comprendre les effets systémiques d’une telle traversée. On questionnera en particulier la force du modèle allemand et la relative faiblesse du modèle américain en matière d’émulation et d’influence, dans un genre qui ne suit pas les mouvements habituels de la République mondiale des Lettres.
