Abstract
Objetivo: Discorrer sobre incontiência urinária na mulher e a diabetes. Revisão Bibliografica: IU repercute acarretando perdas funcionais, psicossociais e emocionais as funções físicas, psicológicas, sociais, sexuais e ocupacionais de acometidos, com prevalência de 27,6% no sexo feminino. A relação entre o DM ,aumento da prevalência de IU e disfunção muscular do assoalho pélvico já foi estudada e concluíram que a prevalência de IU gestacional e IU dois anos pós-parto é um efeito de valor expressivo o que traz significância entre mulheres com diabetes mellitus gestacional (DMG).Diversos testes e exames precisam ser realizados para dar um diagnósticos mais preciso da IU, pois só após o diagnostico poderá iniciar o tratamento que seja eficiente e o mais específico ao caso.Considerações finais: A incontinência urinária é problema de saúde levando em consideração as restrições que pode ocasionar quanto as atividades sociais e sexuais. É importante disponibilizar a forma de tratamento para mulheres incontinentes, sendo oferecido de forma ininterrupta afim de sanar o problema de forma correta através da conduta proposta pelo médico.
